Leadership qualities #2

If you read my earlier post, you would have seen that my family and I welcomed another member to our tribe today. This is the sixth time I’ve had the privilege of cutting the umbilical cord and holding a little one in my arms for the first time.

Even though I’ve now done it half a dozen times, it is new and different and wonderful and exciting each and every time. I think it’s alike to falling in love with someone. You become fascinated with them and are in awe of who they are and what they can do.

Another thing that many parents will would have experience with, which gets me every time, is how quickly time itself blurs. After a month at home with my now second youngest, Kora, when she arrived, my partner and I couldn’t recall what life was like before Kora arrived. It was as if she had always been a member of the family and I expect this time to be no different.

I want to quickly thank all the wonderful staff here at Calvary Hospital. Your professionalism, friendliness and dedication to your crafts have made our experience a wonderfully positive event.
